Dan Nagin appointed as Max Planck Law Fellow
The Max Planck Institute for the Study of Crime, Security and Law in Freiburg, and the Max Planck Institute for Research on Collective Goods in Bonn proudly announce that, under the auspices of Max Planck Law, Professor Dan Nagin has been appointed as Fellow. Professor Nagin is one of the most visible criminologists, with a keen interest in rational choice and behavioral approaches to the understanding, and to combatting, crime. He has widely published in the top journals in criminology, sociology, economics, statistics, psychology, and law. He regularly participates in scientific and policy advisory committees of the (US) National Academy of Sciences (NAS) and coedited the NAS report Deterrence and the Death Penalty.
